Anastasia Sulistyawati, B.A.E., M.S., M.M., M.Mis., D.Th, Ph.D., D.Ag. embraced on her 80th birthday at The Grand Celebration of Prof. Sulistyawati! More than a simple milestone, the event was a tribute to her lifelong dedication to education and an opportunity to appreciate those who often go unnoticed—the individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes for society.

Held at PIB College on February 5, 2025, this event was unlike typical birthday celebrations. Beyond a gathering of family and colleagues, The Grand Celebration of Prof. Sulistyawati served as a heartfelt tribute to workers who often do not receive the recognition they deserve.

As an expression of gratitude and appreciation, Prof. Suli personally invited various community members, including online motorcycle taxi drivers, security personnel, janitors, construction workers, gardeners, religious leaders, and local residents. These individuals are the unsung heroes of daily life, whose contributions are invaluable to society. With warmth and sincerity, Prof. Suli expressed her deep appreciation to them.

“Without them, we wouldn’t be able to live our lives as we do today. They are an essential part of our progress,” she said, her eyes shining with gratitude.

The celebration also featured the distribution of essential goods, souvenirs, and a food bazaar as a token of appreciation for the local community. This initiative was aimed at ensuring that the joy of Prof. Suli’s birthday could be shared with even more people, especially those striving for a better life every day.

Distinguished Guests in Attendance

The event was graced by the presence of notable figures, including Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati, widely known as Tjok Ace, representatives from the Tabanan Regency Government, and delegates from INTI Bali—an organization dedicated to fostering harmonious relations between the Chinese-Indonesian community and the local Balinese society. Additionally, PIB College’s management team and Prof. Suli’s family were present, celebrating the occasion with heartfelt emotions and pride.

This remarkable achievement has been officially recognized by the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI), cementing her status as an inspiring figure—not only for her intelligence but also for her unwavering determination to advance knowledge.
