Upon arrival, check in and join us for a sunset dinner at one of the best restaurants. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow participants and start your journey with a warm welcome.
Begin the day with a warm welcome from the board and a guided campus tour. Following this, attend a comprehensive lecture on Photography Basics & Creative Composition, covering:
  • Introduction to Digital Travel Photography: Understand the core principles of capturing travel moments.
  • Photography Gear: Learn how to effectively use your camera and accessories.
  • Essential Settings: Explore key aspects like resolution, ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
  • Light & Composition: Master techniques for optimal lighting and composition.
  • Inspiration from Experts: Review works by renowned travel photographers.
Explore the cultural gems of Kusamba and Tenganan, two of East Bali’s oldest villages known for their rich heritage and stunning photography spots. Capture traditional activities and experience the art of Balinese script writing on lontar leaves. Conclude the day with a visit to Kusamba Beach to witness the traditional process of sea salt making
Dive into the basics of travel filmmaking, exploring essential techniques and equipment for creating engaging travel videos.

Enjoy a sunset at Uluwatu Temple with a mesmerizing Kecak Dance performance. Then, savor a delicious seafood dinner at Jimbaran Bay, renowned for its fresh, local flavors, right by the beach.

In this session, you’ll learn how to create compelling stories tailored for various social media platforms. We’ll focus on developing content strategies for YouTube, Instagram, and other channels, ensuring your content resonates with your audience. Gain practical tips on boosting engagement and growing your follower base. The session will also include hands-on exercises to apply these strategies and improve your social media presence.
Explore the breathtaking landscapes of Jatiluwih, famous for its expansive rice terraces and stunning volcano views. We’ll embark on a soft trek through the lush paddies, offering the perfect opportunity to capture incredible photos of the terraced fields with Mount Batukaru as a backdrop. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Jatiluwih’s best restaurants, featuring authentic Balinese and Indonesian dishes. To top off the experience, you’ll also get to enjoy the Bali swing, adding a touch of adventure to your day.
Start the day with an early morning visit to Pasar Pandak alongside a PIB chef, where you’ll learn about Indonesian herbs, spices, and other exotic ingredients. Afterward, head to PIB’s state-of-the-art kitchen lab for a Traditional Balinese Cooking Class, where you’ll prepare dishes like Ayam (or Tahu/Tempe) Betutu. Finally, enjoy a lunch featuring the delicious meals you’ve cooked, capping off a truly immersive culinary experience.
In this session, you’ll master the image editing process using tools like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and AI-enhanced software. Key techniques include cropping, adjusting white balance, managing exposure, and performing color correction. You’ll also explore how AI can enhance your editing with features like automatic adjustments, object removal, and style transfer. The session concludes with guidance on creating a professional portfolio to showcase your best work.
In this session, you’ll dive into video editing using Adobe Premiere and AI-enhanced software. Learn essential techniques such as mixing shots, applying transitions, adding music, and incorporating captions. Explore AI tools for video stabilization, automatic scene detection, and color grading to streamline your editing process. Additionally, you’ll learn how to choose the appropriate format and platform for your final product. The session includes practical exercises to apply your skills in real-world scenarios.
Explore the beauty of Traditional Balinese Architecture with a visit to a Rumah Desa (village house), where you’ll discover the intricate design and cultural significance of Balinese homes. The journey continues with a visit to the ancient Gunung Kawi Temple, known for its stunning rock-cut shrines, followed by a trip to the sacred Tirta Empul Water Palace, a site famous for its holy spring water and purification rituals. Capture the architectural and spiritual essence of Bali at these iconic locations.
Discover Bali’s natural beauty at Tegenungan Waterfalls, where you can capture stunning shots of the cascading water surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a relaxing lunch with a breathtaking view of the falls from above. Later, head to Sanur Beach for a serene experience, known for its calm waters and scenic sunrises. While there, indulge in legendary gelato and visit the turtle conservation site. Both destinations offer amazing photography opportunities and a deeper connection to Bali’s mesmerizing landscapes.
On this day, you’ll refine your photography portfolio and finalize your travel-inspired videos, getting ready for a compelling presentation and exhibition.Photography Portfolio:
  • Post-Processing and Editing: Enhance and finalize your images for a polished portfolio.
  • Exhibition Management: Learn effective printing techniques and manage your exhibition to showcase your work.
  • Selection Process: Choose the best photos and materials for a standout exhibition.
Video Projects:
  • Creation of Travel-Inspired Videos: Use collected footage to create a compelling travel-themed video.
  • Post-Production Techniques: Apply continuity, cutting on action, and AI tools for video enhancement and final touches.
Presentation and Sharing: Present and share your final video project to captivate your audience.
Showcase your work to a global audience with our Digital Content Showcase. Prepare your digital content for an online exhibition, ensuring it is optimized for maximum impact. Share your creations across popular platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and personal blogs, reaching and engaging with a diverse audience. Learn effective strategies to interact with viewers, enhance their experience, and build a strong digital presence.
On this day, you will present your project through a portfolio website, showcasing the captures and stories you’ve developed over the 4 weeks in Bali. You will also create a short travel vlog reflecting your personal touch and demonstrating the skills you’ve acquired throughout the course. Each student will present their work to fellow students, and faculty members will provide assessments and feedback on your projects.
On your final day at PIB, celebrate your graduation from the Travel Photography & Videography course. This special occasion features an exhibition of your photography and video projects, where the entire PIB academic community will view and provide feedback on your work. Enjoy a vibrant showcase of Balinese art and a sweet celebration to mark your achievements. Congratulations on your successful completion of the program!
