Surpassed Other Professional Rivals, Students of Politeknik Internasional Bali Won the Competitions Held at Pesona Nusa Dua Fiesta 2019.

The biggest annual festival held on the Peninsula Island of Nusa Dua Bali, Pesona Nusa Dua Fiesta 2019, become a proving ground of the skills of Politeknik Internasional Bali (PIB) students.
Pesona Nusa Dua Fiesta is an annual festival held in Bali since 1996, which was started as a humble activity in the form of an appreciation event for hotels and tenants to visitors in the Nusa Dua area back in the 1996. This event gradually developed into the biggest celebration in Bali in which turned to be a performance stage as well as a competition for art, cultural, culinary, sports and entertainment attractions that were awaited by many connoisseurs of tourism in Bali.
In the festival which was held on October 25th – 27th  2019, students from PIB also competed with professional culinary practitioners who came from big hotels in all over Bali and managed to achieve the winner position.
Two students majoring in Culinary Arts, Sharoon and Cathy, become 2nd place winner in the Modern-Traditional Dessert Plating competition. Not only that, in a different competition two PIB students majoring in Hospitality Management, Subawa and Gilang, also won the Best Service in the Creative Table Setup and Service Challenges competition.
Director of Politeknik Internasional Bali, Prof. Dr.Ir. Sulistyawati, M.S., M.M., M.Mis., D.Th., Ph.D., D.Ag, welcomed the success of students in this prestigious event. He emphasized that PIB is committed in fostering a competitive spirit within students, so that it could be an encouragement for students and lecturers to participate in off-campus competitions.
“The commitment of PIB aside from being a Center of Excellence and Tourismpreneurship Campus, is to also raises awareness of the high competitive climate, every lesson they learned in campus, needs to be proven outside through competition,” said Prof. Suli.
Furthermore Prof. Suli explained that by encouraging students to participate in various competitions out there, the campus could measure each of the student’s mental strength and potential talents. She also added that this measurement then could become material not limited only to evaluate, but also to improve teaching and learning quality inside the PIB campus.
