25 Oct Politeknik Internasional Bali Achieved 14th rank Nationally in the 2019 Vocational Student Performance Clustering and Evaluation
Politeknik Internasional Bali (PIB) ranked 14th place after competing with hundreds of universities throughout Indonesia in the clustering and evaluation of vocational college student performance of 2019 which was listed on the official website of the General Directorate of Learning and Student-Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ditjen Belmawa Ristekdikti).
Head of Higher Education Service Institute of 8th Regional, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Dasi Astawa M.Si., praised the achievement of PIB. Stating that early after it was founded, PIB has been able to prove its seriousness towards student activities and the fact that PIB actively uploads their student activities to the Ditjen Belmawa’s website. Furthermore, Prof. Dasi denied the statement that the time of company establishment is taken into consideration as part of the assessment, but rather, it is the student activities, administrative order, etc. that are being uploaded every year which are used as the main assessment material.
Meanwhile, Director of Politeknik Internasional Bali, Prof. Dr.Ir. Sulistyawati, M.S., M.M., M.Mis., D.Th., Ph.D., D.Ag., was pleased with the attaintment achieved by PIB, especially because PIB was still relatively young but has already succeeded in being ranked 14th out of 100 other universities nationally.
Being eager to improve, reaching the top 5 to the top 3 positions would be the next goal. Prof. Suli stated that this performance must be enhanced further by stimulating, disciplining, supporting, supervising, and paying close attention to PIB students. She then strongly encouraged students to actively participate in competitions.
PIB students achieved many accomplishments, namely 2nd place winner of National Guiding Competition (2018), 2nd place at the ASEAN Green Restaurant & Culinary Event (2018), 1st place in the National Guiding Competition (2019), Ambassador Green Friendship Bali (2019) ), 3rd place winner of Jegeg & Bagus Jembrana Election (2019), Indonesian Youth Choir 3 (2019), Putri Perdamaian Bali (2019), and various other achievements.
“Aside from motivating students, we instruct the lecturers to pay more attention to our student’s potential, and we try to invite guest lecturers more frequently so that our students can gain more experience and knowledge,” concluded Prof. Suli.
